BrickDb is not a journalistic or editorial offering. There is therefore no obligation to name a responsible person under section 18(2) MStV; the statement above is made voluntarily.
Nature of this service
BrickDb is a private fan project. It is provided free of charge; nothing is sold to users and no payment is ever demanded from them.
BrickDb does, however, take part in affiliate programmes. Merchant prices are taken from licensed product data feeds, and the links to those merchants are advertising links: if a person follows one and buys something, BrickDb may earn a commission. Such links are labelled "Werbung" (advertising) immediately beside the link. The size of a commission has no bearing on whether a price is shown or where it appears.
It follows that:
- There is no entry in a commercial, association, partnership or cooperative register.
- There is no VAT identification number under section 27a of the German VAT Act.
- No regulated profession is exercised; there is no professional chamber and no competent supervisory authority in that sense.
Consumer dispute resolution
No consumer contracts are concluded between the service provider and the users of this service, and the provider does not act as a trader. The disclosure duty under section 36 of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (VSBG) therefore does not apply.
Independently of that, the service provider is neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Accessibility
This service is not provided in the course of an economic activity and is not one of the services listed in section 1(3) of the German Accessibility Improvement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG). In our assessment the Act therefore does not apply, and no formal accessibility declaration is issued.

Liability for content
As a service provider, the operator is responsible for its own content on these pages under the general laws, in accordance with section 7(1) DDG.
